Job brief

We are looking for a Sales Manager for our retail shops.

He/she will be responsible for all aspects of the shops’ operation, from recruiting, training sales staff, managing daily/weekly schedules to overseeing day-to-day operations of the departments, The Sales Manager will be responsible for the profitable operation of the shops. The duties include hiring, training, managing, achieving constant sales growth, supervising the sales team, maintaining the physical facilities, managing inventory, monitoring expenditures and receipts, and maintaining good public relations.

  • Acknowledge customers in a friendly and helpful manner and build a sustainable relationship to achieve long-term sales;
  • Recruit, train, coach, motivate and develop new and incumbent sales representatives on company policies and procedures, product knowledge, and personal and professional goals;
  • Review and analyse the business performance of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales results;
  • Review marketing calendar and ensure proper execution of events;
  • Monitor the sales team’s productivity levels and provide coaching and feedback;
  • Ensure timely processing of new receipts, damages, testers, and return to vendors through delegation to self and staff;
  • Develop and implement business driving events/competition to achieve department goals;
  • Supervise proper presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of stock;
  • Sell merchandise through effective customer service techniques and professional selling skills to reach personal productivity goals;
  • Alert the Management of the needs and concerns of the business and staff;
  • Communicate regularly with vendors, planners, logistics department, and buyers regarding stock needs, customer preferences, and special events;
  • Participate in the physical inventory process;
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards;
  • Ensure the work area is free from hazards and work in a safe manner;
  • Be in compliance with all hygiene standards;
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
