Travel Consultant

New Asia Travel & Tours, a IATA-accredited travel agency, started operation in 1994. It is located near the bus and metro station in Rose Hill. New Asia Travel & Tours offers air tickets, holiday packages, cruise trips and travel insurance to its customers. The travel consultant will advise customers on the best travel arrangements available. The travel agency has a loyal and growing client base. The travel consultants are expected to match the company’s high quote-to-sales conversion rate and compassionate after-sales service.

Responsibilities include:

• Selling air tickets, hotel accommodation, cruise trips and travel insurance policies.
• Collecting payment from customers and updating the company’s accounting books.
• Providing after-sales services to address any changes to existing travel arrangements.
• Liaising with airlines and other stakeholders.

• Post-secondary qualification in any travel or tourism related field and/or,
• Past experience working in a travel agency or related business.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Fluency in the use of word processing and spreadsheets.
• Basic knowledge of accounting.
• Knowledge of Amadeus and/or Travelport airline reservation systems.
