Job Description
As a Pastry Maker, you will be responsible for creating new and exciting desserts, preparing a wide variety of baked goods, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will also be responsible for managing ingredient stocks, maintaining equipment, and leading and motivating the pastry team.
Key responsibilities:
- Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
- Able to develop, design, or create new ideas and items for Pastry Kitchen.
- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
- Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget.
- Check the quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
- Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviours.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
