Job Description
As a Pastry Helper, you will assist the Pastry Maker in various tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the pastry kitchen. This role involves preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the pastry-making process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastries, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including measuring and mixing.
- Help pastry makers with tasks such as rolling dough, cutting shapes, and preparing baking sheets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and pastry areas.
- Wash and sanitise equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
- Assist with decorating and finishing pastries and cakes.
- Help with packaging and labelling pastries for sale.
- Monitor inventory levels and report when supplies need to be reordered.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support pastry makers with any additional tasks as needed.
