Lorry Assistant

Gaz Carbonique Ltée is looking for Lorry Assistant/ Helpers to join our team. He/She will be responsible for safely loading, unloading, handling and delivering cylinders and other products. The role also inclludes assisting the dirver with parking and manoeuvering, as well as various tasks within the factory to ensure smooth operations.
 

Main Duties:

1. Loading and Unloading:
   • Safely load and unload cylinders and other products on and off lorries/vans.
   • Handle and deliver cylinders and other products to customers in a safe, responsible, and correct manner.
   • Assist the driver with parking and other delicate maneuvers as necessary.

2. Factory Operations:

   • Test freshly filled cylinders to verify correct pressure using a specially adapted gauge-device.
   • Shrink-wrap the cylinders' valves with plastic as a protective measure.
   • Safely move the cylinders to designated places in the factory after shrink-wrapping.
   • Load and unload cylinders in containers for and from overseas.

3. Maintenance:

   • Perform general maintenance of factory premises, including cleaning and painting.
   • Help in the wrapping process of welding electrodes.
   • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

4. Customer Assistance:

   • Help unload and load cylinders and other products for customers at the Company's base in Phoenix.
   • Assist customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring their needs are met promptly.

• A minimum of 1 or 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Physical Stamina for prolonged periods of standing and manal labour.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
