Job Description:We are seeking a motivated and organised Assistant to the Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the travel industry, with a focus on air ticketing, and possess strong customer service skills. This role requires an individual who can work efficiently under the supervision of the Director and handle a variety of tasks to support the day-to-day operations of our agency.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Director in daily operations and administrative tasks.
- Draft and issue air tickets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with airline regulations.
- Utilise Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Galileo and Amadeus for booking and managing reservations.
- Handle client inquiries and provide personalised travel solutions to meet their needs.
- Manage and resolve customer service issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel industry trends and regulations, particularly IATA guidelines.
- Prepare reports, manage documentation, and maintain organized records.
- Coordinate with suppliers and service providers to ensure smooth travel arrangements for clients.
- Support the Director in marketing and promotional activities, including social media and email campaigns.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in travel and tourism is a plus.
- IATA training and certification are highly desirable.
- Some proficiency in using GDS systems such as Galileo and Amadeus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
