Job Description

OBOĒ is seeking a skilled and personable individual to join our Hospitality & Service team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional service during our F&B operations sessions (cafe barista, meal times & events). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing food and beverage service, as well a welcoming guests into rooms and activities, ensuring a high standard of presentation and guest satisfaction, and performing tasks that are adapted to the OBOĒ offering.

Key Reponsbilities

Taking Customer Orders:  
  - Greet guests courteously and take their orders efficiently.
  - Offer recommendations and address any inquiries about the menus and offerings.

Setting Up Food & Beverage Service:  
  - Prepare and set up stations, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are in place
  - Arrange cups, saucers, and utensils neatly for easy access

Service:  
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner, presented according to Oboē’s standards, including proper garnishing and presentation.
- Ensure items for service are presented attractively and at the appropriate temperature.
- Adjust service to meet the preferences and needs of individual guests.

Monitoring and Replenishing Supplies:  
- Keep track of tea and coffee supplies, and replenish items as needed throughout service.
- Report any shortages or issues with supplies to the coordinators.

Cleaning and Maintenance:  
- Perform pre-service and post-service cleaning of the F&B stations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area to ensure a pleasant guest experience.

Handling Special Requests:  
- Accommodate special requests from guests regarding their food and beverages preferences.
- Provide personalized service to enhance the overall guest experience.

Maintaining Inventory:  
- Assist in tracking and managing inventory of tea, coffee, and related supplies.
- Collaborate with the team to place orders for replenishment as necessary.

Adhering to Food Safety Standards: 
- Follow all food safety and hygiene practices to ensure a safe and clean environment for guests.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness

Teamwork:
- Show personal leadership & accountability
- Able to receive feedback and provide feedback when necessary
- Enjoys team work and collaboration

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

- Must speak English & French (or at leaset one of them fluently)
- Must live in the North of Mauritius and be able to easily come to work
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards guest service.
- Ability to work efficiently and courteously in a fast-paced setting.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and special events as needed.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
