Job Description
A Transport and Building Maintenance Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance and upkeep of all company-owned transportation vehicles and buildings. This role requires strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:o Manage the entire fleet of company vehicles
o Ensure all vehicles are clean and in good condition
o Collaborate with mechanics/garage for necessary maintenance i.e. Servicing, Tyre Change, Repairs, Meeting Safety Standards.
o Monitor GPS systems and address anomalies
o Ensure vehicles comply with traffic regulations.
o Maintain records of all legal documents i.e. Insurance, Road Tax, Fitness, Licences.
o Liaise with insurance and leasing companies in case of accidents, claims
o Liaise with van sub-contractors for the conveyance of employees to and from site of work
o Follow up on Fuel Card transactions with petrol stations.
o Analyse repair costs and report to management
o Prepare transport expenses reports on a monthly basis
o Implement cost effective management strategies
o Implement preventive maintenance measures
o Act as a primary contact for reporting maintenance issues
o Conduct routine inspections of plants, equipment, building and yard
o Report damage of furniture, fittings, goods, equipment to management.
o Perform preventive maintenance tasks
o Liaise with workshop maintenance section for minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
Job Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:• Excellent attention to detail and organised person
• HSC Holder with Computer Literacy
• Reckon at least 3 years of experience in field of maintenance or related field
• Holder of a valid driving license
• Knowledge of transport and road conduct principles
Working Conditions:Location: St Paul till December and Jinn Fei, Riche Terre in 2025
Working Hours/Days: Monday to Friday from 08:30 – 17:00 & Saturdays 08:30 – 13:00
