Job Description

Duties

Managerial duties:

  • Lead a small team of AP Officers
  • Manage day to day responsibilities for AP
  • Ensure that the team meets the Standard level agreement of the Clients
  • Participate and manage month end closing for AP
  • Ensure all invoices are posted on a daily basis
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports for Clients
  • Communicate with vendors and clients
  • Training and coaching of team members
  • Ensure Statement of Procedures are created and maintained for the Clients
  • Objective settings and performance reviews for the team members

Other Client duties:

  • Bank reconciliation
  • Credit card reconciliation
  • Monitoring of Travel and Expenses
  • Posting of payments on vendor account
  • Ageing analysis and cleansing of debit balances and maintaining AP payments in line with budget
  • Vendor Statement reconciliation
  • Reconciliation of Intercompany transactions
  • Preparing and/or validating payments proposal for clients in bank and ERP
  • Ensure all clearing accounts are reconciled at month end
  • Reconciliation of prepayment accounts
  • Ad hoc reporting from clients

Company duties:

  • Monitor attendance, approve overtime for team members
  • Work with direct manager on strategy for growing the team

Requirement:

  • ACCA level 3 or Degree in Business Administration
  • 2-3 years experience in AP
  • Managing team experience
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools especially Excel
  • Ability to work under little or no supervision

Important

This job is a night duty from 18:00 to 03:00 from Monday to Friday. The job also requires working during Mauritius public holidays.
