Avipro, the very first company of Eclosia Group, is a pioneer in poultry production in Mauritius. Created in 1966 with the goal of promoting food security in Mauritius, Avipro specialises not only in fresh and frozen poultry products, but also duck and guinea fowl through its subsidiary, Agrifarm.
Avipro strives to guarantee high quality poultry and maintain strict biosecurity measures in all its farms, which it achieves through rigorous quality control checks at every stage of production and a processing plant that meets high international standards. The chickens are fed a diet mainly composed of corn and soybeans and are reared in an environment that respects their natural growth process. Thanks to its state-of-the-art hatchery, the company is also able to support small breeders through Avishop, which specialises in the supply and distribution of broilers and laying chicks.
Following its success in Mauritius, Avipro expanded its operations in Madagascar about 25 years ago, and more recently in Kenya.
