Job Description

Client Accountant - Accounting

We have a number of vacancies for experienced accountants to join our team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting financial statements for clients.
  • Auditing computerised accounting records prior to the preparation of financial statements.
  • Reviewing minute books, statutory records, trust documents and correspondence files.
  • Ensuring KPIs and targets are met.
  • Liaising with auditors to facilitate their work and requirements.
  • Maintaining a sound technical knowledge of our computer systems.
  • Reviewing exception reports and clearing exceptions arising.
  • Attending to queries efficiently and promptly.
  • Assisting with special projects and complaints investigations.
  • Ensuring that fees for the preparations of financial statements are processed.
  • Adopting a high quality culture to minimise error.

Job Requirements

Your qualifications and skills include:

  • University degree or diploma in business and a recognised accounting qualification or five years accounting experience, preferably in a Trust environment.
  • Knowledge of Guernsey's and Mauritius' regulatory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computerised accounting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the preparation of financial statements for Trusts and Companies
  • General knowledge of trust and banking practices.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications
