Rates Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Strategic Rate Management:
Develop and implement a cohesive rate strategy aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
Analyse market trends and competitor pricing to optimise rates for profitability and competitiveness.

Centralised Rate Database:
Establish and maintain a centralised rates database, categorising rates by vehicle class, rental duration and customer segments.
Ensure accuracy and consistency in rate data across all sectors of the car rental business.

Collaborative Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to gather insights for refining pricing strategies.
Work closely with IT teams to seamlessly integrate rate changes into the rental system, xml softwares and relevant websites.

Customer Segment Differentiation:
Tailor rates for distinct customer segments, including walk-ins, website users, corporate clients and brokers.
Implement dynamic pricing models to maximise revenue based on customer behaviour.

Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about legal and regulatory requirements affecting pricing within the car rental industry.
Ensure all rate adjustments adhere to legal and contractual obligations.

Promotional Pricing and Discounts:
Collaborate with marketing teams to design and implement promotional pricing strategies.
Monitor the effectiveness of discounts and promotions, adjusting strategies as needed.

Performance Reporting:
Provide regular reports to management, detailing rate performance, market dynamics and recommendations for improvements.
Utilise data analytics to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimisation.


 

Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.

Experience:
Proven track record in rates administration within the car rental industry.

Skills:
Strong analytical and data management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent working skills within Google workspace, Microsoft workspace and general software applications.

Attention to Detail:
Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in rate calculations and system updates.

Adaptability:
Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced industry environment.
Strategic thinking to anticipate market changes and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.

Ability to serve as the primary point of contact for rate adjustments and clarifications.
