Job Description: As a chef, you will be at the forefront of our culinary operation, making bread or pastries using our standards.
1. Preparation and Production:
- Assisting in the preparation and production of a variety of bread, and confections.
- Measuring and assembling ingredients according to recipes and established procedures.
2. Baking and Finishing:
- Operating baking equipment and ovens to bake a range of products.
- Participating in finishing and decorating pastries and cakes with precision and creativity.
3. Quality Control:
- Assisting in quality control checks to ensure the freshness, presentation, and taste of products.
- Reporting any product deviations or issues to senior staff.
4. Cleanliness and Organization:
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including cleaning baking utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
- Adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards.
5. Learning and Development:
- Eagerly participating in on-the-job training and skill development opportunities.
- Gaining knowledge of various pastry techniques and styles.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a bakery or pastry shop is a plus, but not required. We welcome candidates with a passion for baking and a willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
- Strong work ethic, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
