About Us:
At T1 Diams, we’re more than an organization—we’re a movement. Dedicated to supporting the diabetes community, we create innovative solutions, foster awareness, and build strong connections that inspire hope. Now, we’re looking for an Events Coordinator who can help us take our workshops, campaigns, and outreach programs to the next level.

Your Mission:
As our Events Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our mission, turning ideas into impactful experiences. Your role will include:
  • Event Planning & Execution: Lead the organization of educational workshops, fundraising activities, community outreach programs, and awareness campaigns. Manage everything from concept to completion.
  • Creative Event Design: Develop fresh and engaging event ideas that generate excitement and promote community participation through creative activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with our marketing team to promote events across multiple platforms for maximum impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community organizations to create events that truly matter.
  • Budget Management: Plan smart, track expenses, and ensure every event stays within budget.
  • Measure Success: Evaluate the impact of each event through reports and feedback and use those insights to make future events even better!

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications
  • A BTS / Diploma in Event Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of event planning experience, ideally in the nonprofit or healthcare sector.
  • Proficiency in Creole, English and French, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with event management software and digital tools.
  • A passion for community health and supporting those with diabetes.
Skills
  • Creativity in crafting memorable event experiences that inspire engagement.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Confidence in public speaking and delivering presentations.
  • Flexibility and focus to excel in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

About T1Diams

T1 Diams supports those with Type 1 diabetes. We have over 250 diabetic members aged between 14 months and 78 years, more than half of whom are primary, secondary and tertiary students.

Type 1 diabetes is characterized by the total absence of insulin production and is triggered during childhood, adolescence or puberty and rarely in older people.

We, at T1 Diams, provide them with correct care in terms of medical equipment, psychosocial monitoring and therapeutic education.
