1. Facilities & Equipment Management
· Ensure all facilities, equipment, worktables, and workspaces are well-maintained, clean, and organized to meet hygiene and operational standards.
· Oversee the neat arrangement of tools, accessories, and equipment manuals in designated storage areas.
· Enforce protocols to ensure no tools, spare parts, accessories, or manuals are left unattended at job sites after maintenance interventions.
· Ensure all equipment and accessories are cleaned, sanitized (where applicable), and stored properly after use.
· Schedule and supervise routine washing, lubrication, and calibration of machinery to prevent contamination or malfunctions.
2. Strategic Leadership & Compliance
· Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
· Provide hands-on training to employees on:
o Equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and safety protocols.
o All Systems maintenance
· Advise senior management on critical maintenance and systems issues, including:
o Utility systems: Water supply, compressed air, steam generation, electrical infrastructure.
o Facility systems
o Risk mitigation: Recommendations for upgrades, cost-saving innovations, or compliance adjustments.
3. Operational Excellence
· Lead troubleshooting and repairs across diverse production lines, including:
o Chemical processing equipment
o Plastic molding machines for gumboots.
o High-speed tissue paper converters and packaging lines.
o Liquid filling/packaging systems for perfumes, shower gels, and conditioners.
· Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting output targets.
4. Safety & Compliance
· Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations:
· Conduct safety audits and risk assessments for hazardous processes.
5. Budget, Inventory & Innovation
· Manage budgets for spare parts, tools, and external contractors, prioritizing cost-effective solutions.
· Maintain an organized inventory system for critical spare parts, ensuring minimal downtime.
· Implement predictive maintenance technologies.
6. Continuous Improvement
· Drive initiatives to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability
· Collaborate with R&D to ensure equipment meets evolving product quality standards
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering. Certifications
· Experience: 3+ years in maintenance leadership, preferably in FMCG, cosmetics, plastics, or chemical manufacturing.
· Technical Expertise:
o Proficiency in utility systems (water, steam, compressed air, electrical, cold rooms).
o Knowledge of hygienic equipment design (e.g., stainless steel reactors, CIP systems).
o Familiarity with PLC automation, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
· Soft Skills:
o Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
o Ability to train teams and simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
· Regulatory Knowledge and environmental compliance.
