Job Responsibilities |
• Audit Planning & Execution |
Design and implement risk-based annual internal audit plans; define scope using frameworks such as COSand ERM . Planning the scope of audit and prepare the audit program on the basis of risk-based approach, using Risk and Control frameworks, the key control points, safeguard of company resources, and accurate presentation of financial results and possibility of misappropriation |
Execute end-to-end audits—financial, operational, compliance —and assess effectiveness of internal controls, accuracy of financial data, and operational efficiency, examine records of departments, inspect accounting systems determine their efficiency. To conduct Internal auditing & analysis of the procedural system of all Commercial functions , project sites, Project Execution Efficiency audits, Civil audit, Instrumentation audit ,Mechanical & engineering audit, Tender Management, audit of Purchases, Stores, Stocks & Inventory Management, Sales, Marketing, Dispatches, Accounts, Capital expenditures, Disbursements, Finance & Treasury, Personnel & Administration, Production, Transport, Manpower, Civil activities & Quality management. |
Perform walkthroughs and testing of processes and controls. |
• Risk & Control Evaluation |
Identify key risk areas across functions; develop risk mitigation strategies and index . Assess what can wrong and develop a risk mitigation index. Develop internal controls on the lines of Sarbanes Oxley act to strengthen internal controls in the organization. |
Assess entity-, process-, and IT-level controls using frameworks and conduct control testing |
• Data Analytics & Investigation |
Utilize audit analytics and data tools to analyze transaction anomalies, monitor key risk indicators, and support remediation. |
Discuss and infer the exceptional transactions and conclude if the transactions are True / False. Suggest suitable remediation to improve the process and minimise the exceptions. |
• Reporting & Follow-Up |
Develop audit reports with root cause analysis, impact assessment, and practical corrective measures using the “5 C’s” methodology: Condition, Criteria, Cause, Consequence, Corrective action. Draft internal audits reports recommending appropriate improvements to controls and assessing the adequacy of the corrective action taken and providing management with sufficient information to address any observed deficiency. |
Present findings, and monitor implementation of agreed action plans via follow-up audits |
Recommend improvements to enhance process efficiency and control effectiveness. |
Collaborate with process owners to implement corrective actions. |
• Stakeholder Collaboration |
Work closely with Finance, HR, Operations, Sales, and external auditors (statutory/financial), ensuring clear communication and actionable recommendations. |
• Governance & Oversight |
Support the team by preparing quarterly audit presentations and serve as an independent evaluator for governance, risk, and compliance processes |
Qualifications & Experience |
• Essential |
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification; article ship experience—preferably from a Big-4 firm |
3–5 years of relevant internal audit experience, ideally in manufacturing or large multinational settings or Big-4 firm |
• Technical Skills |
Proficiency in Excel for complex data manipulation and reporting |
SAP familiarity is a plus; knowledge of audit tools (ACL, IDEA) adds value |
