The Gasoline Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gasoline dispensing applicances, machines and related equipment. This role ensures safe and efficient fuel operations by adhering to industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, inspect, and maintain gasoline pumps, tanks, pipelines, and vapor recovery systems
Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on fuel dispensing equipment
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues in fuel systems
Conduct pressure tests, leak detection, and system calibrations to ensure accuracy and safety
Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and calibrations in compliance with regulatory standards
Ensure all work complies with environmental and safety regulations, including fire codes and hazardous material handling
Respond to fuel spills or leaks and implement emergency procedures when necessary
Stay updated on local and national fuel handling regulations
Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to supervisors promptly
Assist in preparing compliance documentation for audits and inspections
Communicate effectively with site managers, vendors, and regulatory inspectors
Provide technical support and training to junior technicians or site personnel
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth fuel operations
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
Certification in mechanical/electrical systems
Proven experience in fuel system maintenance or Mechanics
Knowledge of gasoline dispensing machines, vapor recovery, and leak detection technologies
Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in high-pressure environments
