Job Description – Supervisor (Salesman & Helper Team)
Job Purpose
The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, guiding, and supporting the team of Salesmen and Helpers to ensure smooth daily operations, timely deliveries, accurate stock handling, and excellent customer service. The Supervisor ensures that all team members follow company policies, achieve performance targets, and maintain professionalism at all times.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Team Supervision & Coordination
  • Supervise the daily activities of Salesmen and Helpers, ensuring proper route execution and workload distribution.
  • Monitor punctuality, attendance, and overall discipline of team members.
  • Ensure that all staff follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct regular briefings before dispatch and debriefing after return.
2. Route & Delivery Management
  • Plan and assign delivery routes to Salesmen and Helpers for efficient coverage.
  • Ensure timely departure and return of all vehicles according to schedule.
  • Monitor delays, route changes, and exceptional situations and report them to management.
  • Verify that deliveries are completed accurately and customer issues are promptly resolved.
3. Stock & Vehicle Control
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of stock in company vehicles.
  • Ensure Salesmen and Helpers manage stock responsibly and accurately.
  • Verify stock returns, damaged items, and shortages, and report irregularities.
  • Monitor the condition and cleanliness of assigned vehicles.
4. Performance Monitoring
  • Evaluate the performance of Salesmen and Helpers on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Identify underperformance and provide guidance or corrective measures.
  • Implement action plans to increase productivity and enhance customer satisfaction.
5. Documentation & Reporting
  • Ensure all delivery notes, invoices, and stock sheets are correctly completed.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on delivery performance, issues, and team productivity.
  • Record attendance, absences, misconduct, and overtime for HR processing.
6. Customer Service & Issue Resolution
  • Address customer complaints related to delivery, behaviour, or product issues.
  • Ensure the team maintains a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Follow up with customers to verify satisfaction and solve outstanding matters.
7. Training & Development
  • Train new Salesmen and Helpers on company procedures, customer service, and safety.
  • Conduct refresher training for existing team members to maintain performance standards.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent
  • Valid Goods Vehicle Driving Licence (mandatory)
  • Salary Negotiable
  • Prior experience in supervising delivery, sales, or logistics teams preferred
  • Experience in field operations, route planning, or stock handling is an advantage
