Job Description
- Assembles installs and maintain pipes, fittings and fixtures of drainage, heating and sanitary systems at various locations.
- Examines drawings or other specifications
- Cuts passage holes for pipes in walls or floors
- Cuts, reams, threads and bends pipes
- Joins pipes by the use of screws and bolts, fittings, caulks joints and test them for leaks with air or water pressure gauges
- Installs fixtures
- Does repairs and maintenance work such as replacing washers, mending burst pipes and opening clogged drains
- Perform any ancillary duties as may be assigned to himby his employer or plumbing supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar position
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Physically fit and able to work on sites when required
- Punctual, reliable, and hardworking
- Able to follow instructions and meet deadlines
- Good understanding of workplace safety practices
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
