Travel Consultant

New Asia Travel & Tours, a IATA-accredited travel agency, started operation in 1994. It is located near the bus and metro station in Rose Hill. New Asia Travel & Tours offers air tickets, holiday packages, cruise trips and travel insurance to its customers. The travel consultant will essentailly be responsible for advising customers on the best travel arrangements available. The travel agency has a loyal and growing client base. The travel consultants are expected to match the company’s high quote-to-sales conversion rate and compassionate after-sales service.

Responsibilities include:

• Selling air tickets, hotel accommodation, cruise trips and travel insurance policies.
• Collecting payment from customers and updating the company’s accounting books.
• Providing after-sales services to address any changes to existing travel arrangements.
• Liaising with airlines and other stakeholders.

• Post-secondary qualification in any travel or tourism related field and/or,
• Past experience working in a travel agency or related business.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Fluency in the use of word processing and spreadsheets.
• Basic knowledge of accounting.
• Knowledge of Amadeus and/or Travelport airline reservation systems.
