Systems and Network Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Systems and Network Administrator to join our client's IT department, working under the direction of the Head of IT. This role is critical to maintaining the operational excellence and security of their multi-site IT infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments.

You will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of physical and virtual system infrastructures, including Windows Server and Linux environments, virtualization solutions (Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox), and backup systems. You will manage NAS storage solutions, digital certificates, and ensure the continuous optimization of operational procedures. Additionally, you will oversee the design evolution of technical architectures and participate in complex technical incident resolution.

On the networking and security front, you will administer multi-site network infrastructure, manage network and security equipment including switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points, and maintain VPN and secure remote access solutions. You will monitor network performance, implement corrective actions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure security through management of monitoring, supervision, antivirus, and EDR tools.

This position requires a technically skilled professional who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain meticulous technical documentation and network mappings.

• Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments
• Mastery of virtualization solutions: Hyper-V, VMware, and Proxmox
• Knowledge of cloud environments: AWS and Microsoft Azure
• Strong proficiency in Active Directory, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365
• Solid networking skills including switching, routing, VLAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi configuration and optimization
• Knowledge of backup and storage solutions (Acronis, Synology, QNAP)
• Mastery of IT monitoring and security tools
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents
• Experience with network and security equipment (switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points)
• Highly organized with strict adherence to procedures and best practices
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
