Job Description
Gaz Carbonique Ltée is seeking a motivated and experienced Mechanic Operator to join its Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on production plant machinery as well as industrial and medical gas equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Company's facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and mechanical equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently
- Maintain compressors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves and other production equipment
- Carry out maintenance on industrial and medical gas equipment
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Complete maintenance records and report equipment defects
- Ensure compliance with Company safety procedures and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop

Job Requirements
- NC Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial mechanical maintenance
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery
- Knowledge of compressors, pumps and rotating equipment (advantageous)
- Welding and fabrication skills (advantageous)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Safety conscious with attention to detail
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
