ABOUT THE ROLE
— Customer Service and Underwriting Officer in the Administration sector, full-time based in Grand Baie.
— Provide excellent customer support while assessing and processing underwriting applications.
— Balance client-facing duties with risk evaluation to support accurate policy issuance and renewals.
— Work closely with sales, claims and compliance teams to maintain service standards and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
— Respond promptly to customer enquiries by phone, email and in person and resolve issues professionally.
— Review applications, verify documentation and perform risk assessments according to underwriting guidelines.
— Prepare quotations, endorsements and policy documents and ensure accurate data entry into systems.
— Liaise with brokers, agents and internal teams to obtain information and expedite decisions.
— Monitor renewals, follow up on outstanding requirements and recommend terms or referrals as needed.
— Maintain records, produce reports and contribute to improvements in processes and turnaround times.
REQUIREMENTS
— Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; French and Creole advantageous.
— Attention to detail, sound numerical ability and good decision-making under pressure.
