Restaurant Hostess

Job brief
We are looking for a Restaurant Hostess to join our team and be the first point of contact for our guests.
Restaurant Hostess responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. You should also be available to work on split shifts.

Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests. Remember that Restaurant Hostess duties may require working during weekends and public holidays.
 

Main duties:

• Greeting Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, making a positive first impression.
• Managing Reservations: Handle reservations over the phone, online, or in person, ensuring proper recording and organization.
• Seating Guests: Escort guests to their tables, taking into account reservations and guest preferences.
• Maintaining Waiting Lists: Manage waiting lists during busy periods, providing accurate wait times and keeping guests informed.
• Answering Phones: Respond to phone calls, answer questions about the restaurant, and assist with reservations.
• Monitoring arrival of guests if BB, BO, HB and notify if charge is needed roviding
• Coordinating with Staff: Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Handling Special Requests: Accommodate special requests, such as seating preferences, dietary needs, or celebrations.
• Managing Guest Flow: Monitor the dining area to ensure a balanced flow of guests and prevent overloading specific sections.
• Assisting with Cleanliness: Ensure the hostess stand, waiting area, and entrance are clean and presentable.
• Resolving Issues: Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management if necessary.
• Providing Information: Offer information about the menu, restaurant policies, nearby attractions, or other inquiries guests might have.
