Job Requirements
Surface Preparation:
- Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting.
- Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats.
Spray Painting:
- Operate spray painting equipment to apply paint, varnish, enamel, and other finishes to surfaces.
- Ensure even coating and smooth finishes by using appropriate techniques and equipment settings.
- Mix and match paint colors to meet the desired specifications.
Varnishing:
- Apply varnish to surfaces to protect and enhance the appearance of the finished product.
- Ensure smooth and even application of varnish using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Sand and reapply varnish layers as necessary to achieve desired finish.
Polishing:
- Perform polishing tasks to achieve smooth and shiny finishes on painted and varnished surfaces.
- Use polishing tools and materials to remove imperfections and enhance the overall appearance.
- Apply waxes or protective coatings as needed.
Quality Control:
- Inspect finished surfaces to identify and correct any flaws or defects.
- Ensure that all painted, varnished, and polished surfaces meet the company's quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent contamination of surfaces.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Clean and maintain painting, varnishing, and polishing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, and safety glasses.
- Handle and dispose of paint, varnish, and other materials according to environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a painter, particularly in spray painting, varnishing, and polishing.
- Familiarity with painting, varnishing, and polishing tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of various painting, varnishing, and polishing techniques and finishes.
