Job Description

We are looking for an accounts receivable clerk, the applicant will report to the Accountant and Accounts Receivable Lead.

Responsibilities

  • The accounts receivable form part of the existing accounting team and help where necessary. Examples of the work the applicant will be most likely to do are as follows below (this list is not exhaustive):
  • Preparing Cheque and cash deposits for banking.
  • Updating clients’ accounts on our software when receiving payments.
  • Filing of invoices.
  • Closing of jobs on the system.
  • Creating invoices.
  • Providing clients with their Statement of accounts, invoices and receipts in a timely manner.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Sending reminders to debtors.
  • Assist in any ad hoc task as may be required.

Salary: As from Rs 25,000 based on experience + Transport

Job Requirements

  • We are looking for someone who can work using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel mainly). The applicant should also have good written English and French; and be able to reply to emails in a professional manner in both languages.
  • Team spirit and teamwork is essential in this position as the applicant will not only liaise with the accounting team but also with our sales and our aftersales department.
