Job Description
Job Purpose:
As a Chef de Partie – Bakery, you will oversee daily bakery operations and ensure the consistent production of premium-quality baked goods for our restaurants, lounges, and banquet events. You will lead a small team, maintain high standards of quality and presentation, and contribute to the development of new and inspiring bakery creations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and participate in the preparation, baking, and finishing of breads, viennoiseries, pastries, and specialty items.
- Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation meet the hotel’s standards of excellence.
- Organize daily mise en place and delegate tasks efficiently to the bakery team.
- Monitor stock levels, maintain cost control, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in the bakery area.
- Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and Sous Chef to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings.
- Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in a professional bakery, ideally within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
- Strong technical knowledge in bread and pastry production, dough handling, and finishing techniques.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry is preferred.
